Farm Animals and Sounds Mini Book

This week’s FREE printable is a fun, easy to construct farm animals mini book! The animals included in the book are cow, pig, sheep, horse, chicken and duck. There is an extra blank page with a word prompt only if you want your child to add another animal, or a farmer, or themselves!

This mini book is great for practising farm animal vocabulary and animal noises. Combine it with my other farm resources (see end of post)!

How to make the farm animals mini book:

Print the book pages on normal printer paper (two sheets). Cut along the large dashed lines to get eight minibook pages in total. Make sure your kids don’t cut along the small dotted lines, as this margin is needed to fix the pages of the book together.
Kids colour the farm gate and the animals and then write the correct animal words in the spaces on each page. I have some great free farm animal picture-word flashcards they can use to copy the words! There is an extra blank page for children to draw another animal, the farmer, or themselves!
Print and cut out the back cover of the book. I have included a colour version you can print onto card, or a black and white version that kids can colour or that you can use as a template to trace onto red or brown card.
To assemble: the gate is the cover of the book so make sure it is the first page (you could even stick it onto a rectangle of red or brown card if you want to make it stronger). Glue or staple all the pages together and it’s done!
