Use this simple printable to play a fun hide and seek game with little ones! Choose to hide the cat or the spider under one of the pumpkins. Children try to guess where it is – lift up the flap to see if they’re right! The spider or cat is stuck on with blu-tack, so you can move it under different pumpkins and play the game as many times as you like.
You can colour the pumpkins all the same and play to practise numbers, or colour them differently to practise colours vocabulary. There are also two styles to choose from: 4 flaps or 5 flaps!
Once you’ve played the game with your kids, they can make one for themselves. Both styles are really easy to construct and they’ll love hiding the cat or the spider under the flaps.
I’ve got more resources for practising autumn / fall vocabulary that you can use together with this printable, like my Autumn-Fall Word Puzzles and Pumpkin Beginning Letter Sounds Matching Game. See end of post for more!
How to use the Hide and Seek Pumpkin Printable:
- Choose your preferred style: Style 1 makes 5 flaps, Style 2 makes 4 flaps
- Children colour the pumpkins, cut along the solid black lines and fold along the dotted lines. Make sure they fold so that the pumpkins are on the outside!
- Choose to hide spiders or cats. Print, cut out and put some blu-tack on the back. Give each child one to stick under the pumpkins and have fun playing hide and seek!
